The meeting was at the
request of Mr Jackson who wanted to discuss the ongoing impact on
Peterborough of the recent massive inflows of Eastern European
migrants.

Following the meeting, Mr Jackson
commented: “The meeting was certainly very useful. I found the
Minister to be very understanding of the pressures on Peterborough
caused by recent huge inward migration.
“We discussed a range of issues and
Mr Green gave me positive indications as to the work being done by
the Home Office in the city – particularly with regards rough
sleepers”.
