The traffic lights were
installed many months ago and remain out of use.
A large number of Stewart’s
constituents in Longthorpe and South Bretton have contacted him
about the matter, expressing their frustration.
Stewart commented: “I can’t believe
the incompetence of the Highways Agency.
“These lights were installed months
ago to relieve the traffic flow problems on Thorpe Wood Road.
“At the moment, they remain a
momentous waste of taxpayers’ money.
“I am writing to the Highways Agency
to press upon them the importance of getting the lights operational
as soon as possible.”
