Planning officers from Peterborough City Council will be available to answer questions at the Yaxley event from 2 pm to 5.30 pm and from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm and at the Serpentine Green display from 1.30 pm to 5.30 pm and from 6.30 pm to 8 pm.

Two outline planning applications have been submitted to the city council for Great Haddon, a proposed urban extension in the south of Peterborough located between the A1(M) and Hampton.

The applications have been submitted by David Lock Associates on behalf of the Great Haddon Consortium (O&H Properties, Marlborough Oasis Ltd and David Wilson Homes). They propose up to 5,350 new homes, 65 hectares of employment land, a district and two neighbourhood centres (with a mix of retail, commercial, community and health facilities), three primary schools and one secondary, five Gypsy and Traveller pitches, open space, highways, plus utility and drainage infrastructure.

Public consultation on the applications will run until 20 January 2010. The application material is available to view at Bayard Place, Central Library, and Yaxley and Hampton Libraries and on the city council’s web site: www.peterborough.gov.uk.

Anyone wishing to comment on the applications should write to: Planning Services, Stuart House, East Wing, St John’s Street, Peterborough PE1 5DD, e-mail planningcontrol@peterborough.gov.uk  or online via the city council’s website.
