Tickets for major local concerts and other events can be booked through the Peterborough Tourist Information Centre at 3-5 Minster Precincts.

Events currently bookable include:

Bazaar and Rummage, a comedy with adult themes by Peterborough Playgoers at the John Clare Theatre, Broadway, from 14 to 17 May. Tickets are £9 for 7.30 pm performances and £8 for a Saturday matinee at 2.30 pm.

D-Day Dance at Parkway Club, Maskew Avenue on 6 June, with dancing to the music of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman and Joe Loss and the songs of Vera Lynn, Flanagan and Allen, Doris Day. Nostalgia will be enhanced with a fantastic Spitfire fly past, a full air raid sequence and famous wartime speeches. Tickets are £6.

Rock with Laughter at Elton Hall on 15 August starring Jasper Carrott, Lenny Henry, Jo Brand, The Blockheads and Phill Jupitus, Elkie Brooks, The Manfreds, Bootleg Beatles and Orchestra with a fantastic firework finale. Revellers can enjoy a picnic and will see all the action on large screens. Tickets are £35 for adults, £20 for five to 15 year olds. Gates open 5 pm and the show starts at 7.30 pm.

Girls Aloud at Elton Hall on 16 August with picnic opportunities and a firework finale. Tickets are £28 for adults and £20 for five to 11 year olds. Gates open 5 pm and the show starts at 7 pm.

Battle Proms at Burghley House on 12 July. Enjoy a picnic in the grounds of stately Burghley House with attractions including traditional fairground side stalls, Napoleonic encampment, acoustic guitarist, Napoleonic cavalry and infantry displays, an evening gun salute, The New English Concert Orchestra, a Spitfire air display, 200 live cannons and a spectacular firework finale.
Gates open 4.30 pm and displays start at 7.15 pm.
Tickets are £26 if booked before 1 May or £28 adults and £14 for five to 16 year olds.
