Swap your clothes, support a local charity,
help the environment and have some fun.
Now local ladies can keep their
wardrobe fresh, and support local charity this autumn.
Women worldwide have discovered
Swishing - an event that invites women of all ages to bring items
from their wardrobe they don’t wear anymore, and swap those items
for something else. It’s environmentally friendly and extremely
light on the purse, so positively guilt free!!
A number of Peterborough businesses
have come together to organise the city’s second ever charity
Swishing event this September. The main sponsor is Peterborough
Property & Mortgage Bureau.
Jenny Mogford, one of the
organisers said, “We’re asking local ladies to buy a ticket and
bring along their good quality clothes and accessories to swap at
the event.
“The proceeds will go to Sue Ryder
Care, Thorpe Hall and any items not claimed at the end of the event
will be donated for sale in the local Sue Ryder charity shops.
“It will be great fun and everyone
has the opportunity to leave with some real bargains for their
autumn wardrobe.”
The Charity Swishing Event is
hosted by Orchids Ladies Health & Fitness Centre in New England and
takes place on Saturday 19 September, doors open at 10am. Tickets
are just £5.00.
Compere for the morning is style
guru Sue Donnelly, who will be on hand to offer tips and advice.
There will be additional shopping
opportunities for anyone in the buying mood, provided by stalls
selling complimentary goods and services. Refreshments will also be
available.
Places are limited so be sure to
buy your ticket early and open your wardrobe door to a whole new
experience.
