Matt Allen, Under 10's Coach, said that “Although already qualified
National Level 1 coaches, the three of us decided to further our
Rugby knowledge by becoming Society Referees which will help with
training the youngsters but also put something back into the game
after all of us having played for a number of years.”
“Deepings Rugby Club has made
tremendous strides forward in recent years, recognised by the RFU,
and culminating in them awarding us the coveted RFU Seal of Approval
which all areas of the club have worked hard for.”
Deepings is still the only club in
South Lincolnshire to have been awarded the Seal of Approval. The
Community Rugby Active Sports Seal of Approval and the Sport England
Clubmark accreditation scheme are based on a three year award system
during which time a club is assessed on it’s ability to maintain a
safe, child friendly club environment.
The Seal is a Hallmark of Quality
awarded to Rugby Clubs who have achieved a standard of excellence.
The certificate is awarded only after the Club has proved itself to
have in place the required standards of management, playing
conditions along with comprehensive health & safety procedures. One
the most important features is that the Certificate imparts to
everyone, particularly parents of mini & junior players that
Deepings Academy of Rugby is a safe place for young children, boys
and girls in the Deepings to play Rugby.
Deepings Rugby Club has three senior
men’s teams, including vets, a Ladies team as well as providing
rugby for boys and girls from ages 6 to 17.
