Although they did not walk away that contract, Journey South
still went on to record an album with Cowell’s Syco label, which
entered the charts at number one, and sold 220,000 copies in the
first week alone.
Now, with a second album Home under
their belts, Andy and Carl have embarked on a 43-date tour around
the UK. They will be stopping off at The Cresset in Bretton,
Peterborough, on Friday, May 16 at 7.30pm.
Their concert will showcase new
songs from Home as well as tracks from their first album Journey
South. But they will also sing the hits that they performed on X
Factor – which included Angels, Living On A Prayer, Candle In The
Wind and Let It Be. Elder brother Andy said: “We really appreciate
the great stepping stone the X Factor gave us and the chance to have
a number one album and get so many great fans.
The new album though, is the reason
why we’ve been gigging and playing as a band for the last 10 years.
This album is a true reflection of us as a band and we are so proud
of the songs we’ve written and recorded here and hope our fans feel
the same.”
Tickets for the show cost £17.50
(£16.50 concessions).
Call The Cresset box office on
