The app will be free to download prior to the event and will include
regular news bulletins, a live scoreboard and podcasts. Ticket
information and weather forecasts will also be available, plus daily
information on what’s-on-where around the showground.
A cross-country course option will
provide a unique accompaniment for anyone walking the course. So
whether you’re sitting in the grandstands, loading up the shopping
bags in the Trade Stand avenues or following our latest news from
abroad, the app will provide Land Rover Burghley enthusiasts with a
convenient way to keep abreast of all the latest action at the Event
(1 – 4 September 2011).
Elizabeth Inman, Event Director,
said: “The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials is the first four-star
event to have an iPhone app and it’s a great development for us. We
are always looking at different ways to communicate the unique buzz
and excitement that Burghley has to offer and this app will be sure
to help.”
Further information about the app
will be posted on
www.burghley-horse.co.uk and on
their Facebook page in the spring.
