With the colder weather on it's way, now could be the time to think about those winter fuel bills and what you can do to reduce them, saving yourself some money.

If you've no idea where to start and like many are fed up with trying to work out which supplier will save you money, then you can get some help on this from the Anglia Energy Services Fuel Supply Scheme.

AES is a brand new energy service that has been designed to help residents reduce their fuel bills.

AES is a non-profit making organisation, which is financed by local councils and housing associations and managed by Peterborough Environment City Trust. One of our main aims is to help local residents reduce their energy outgoings.

Providing you with a saving on your utility bills, cutting your electricity and gas bills by changing your supplier. Since May 1999 all customers, domestic, commercial and industrial have been able to change their supplier.

Since then over 19 million customers have changed. Domestic consumers are seeing savings of up to £150 on their energy bills, and we could all do with a little more cash to spare. This is all due to the increased competition in these markets, thus meaning the UK energy prices have fallen by 13 per cent in real terms since 1999.
