What’s the answer? Well it’s not a magic bullet; even so it’s very
simple indeed.
All we need to do is incorporate
some regular exercise into our lifestyle which will improve our
heart & respiratory function, lower our blood pressure, increase our
strength, improve bone density, improve flexibility, quicken our
reaction time, reduce body fat, increase muscle mass, and reduce our
susceptibility to depression & disease.
Additionally, aerobic exercise helps
control Type II (Late Onset) diabetes and helps prevent the build up
of cholesterol and promotes attention & alertness, both of which are
needed to get information into your memory.
The final word is that exercise is
one of the best weapons we have to combat disease and to slow down
ageing.
To help us achieve this, Orchids
Ladies Health & Fitness Centre in New England, Peterborough have set
up a regular ladies over 50s pay-as-you-go session each Tuesday from
6pm-7pm, for just £3.50!
Jenny, a regular at Orchids said, “I
can safely say I’m fitter now at 51 than I was at 31 after including
sessions into my regular exercise routine.
“I’ve a real bounce in my step, I
don’t come down with colds and flu as often and life is just more
fun, because I have more energy!”
Surely that must be an offer we just
can’t refuse?
