The Country Show is also delighted to announce the debut of the
Peterborough International Orchid Show on Saturday and Sunday.
The event will be a feast for all the senses with a spectacular
display of the finest orchids from across the globe. There will
also be intense competition amongst the exhibitors for the
coveted trophies.
Food lovers can join in a
culinary extravaganza in the Food Hall as top chefs Lesley
Waters and James Tanner go head-to-head in a Celebrity Cook-off
(Saturday and Sunday only). Friday will see pupils from local
schools battle it out to win the grand final of the Schools Food
Challenge.
The Family Fun Zone provides an
endless list of activities to do and a visit to the Country
Trail is a must. Children will also enjoy a visit to the popular
Animal Magic Arena featuring exotic pets and friendly llamas and
have the chance to create a work of art with puppet making
workshops.
And the fun doesn’t stop there!
The main ring will host breath taking displays by the Royal
Artillery Display Team and you can explore a whole host of other
exciting demonstrations in the Country Sports Arena and
Equestrian Village.
A fantastic line up of main
stage concerts over the three days will have you tapping your
feet, with a range of musical acts to suit everyone’s tastes.
Included in the price of tickets, visitors will be able to enjoy
a varied programme, including performances from The Mike Smiths
Pop Orchestra on Friday and Showaddywaddy on Saturday evenings,
before winding down on Sunday with the Glenn Miller Tribute
Band.
There is plenty of opportunity
for retail therapy with over 400 retail stands to choose from,
including the Shopping Mews featuring over 30 exclusive brands,
a Craft Fair, Indoor Shopping Pavilions and the John Lewis
Lifestyle and Fashion Pavilion showing off the season’s latest
collection. And after all that, why not take time out to enjoy
something to eat from the Farmers Food Court offering a range of
eateries, all supplied from Food Direct from the Farm.

Gates open from 8.00am – 6pm and
car parking is FREE, with a network of level tarmac roads for
ease of access for the disabled. NB: Children under the age of
16 must be accompanied by a full paying adult and dogs must be
kept on leads at all times.
The East of England Showground
is easily accessible by car from all major routes and is well
sign-posted. Rail passengers should travel to Peterborough
Station (located approximately 6 miles from the Showground) from
where a shuttle bus service will be in operation.
