The Ultimate Christmas Shopping Experience

East of England Christmas Festival

The East of England Christmas Festival is the perfect event to get the festive season off to a flying start and for you to begin your Christmas shopping. The Festival is being held over three days this year – 12th, 13th and 14th November - at the East of England Showground in Peterborough. Discounted tickets are being offered for the first day of the Show, Friday 12th. The Festival will be all in one, heated, building, in the fabulous exec Peterborough exhibition centre.

Now in its sixth year, the Christmas Festival offers a unique shopping experience, with over 250 craft and gift stands. Visitors to the Festival will have the perfect opportunity to discover a whole host of quality gift ideas for both friends and family.

There are many services which are new for 2010. These include having your purchases gift wrapped, with proceeds donated to Sue Ryder and Macmillan Cancer Support and a Food and Craft demonstration stage, with ideas for the Festive period.

The Christmas Festival Food Hall will feature some of the best local and regional speciality products, and you will also be able to enjoy a delicious, festive meal in the festival restaurant, knowing that all the food has been sourced under the Showground’s Food Direct from the Farm scheme.

Younger visitors will especially enjoy visiting Father Christmas in his grotto as well as being able to get their picture taken with him and the festive fun continues with Punch and Judy, Stilt Walkers and Face Painting. You will also be able to purchase a slice of the delicious cake, from a recipe devised by local school children. The Junior Schools Seasonal Festive Cake Challenge has involved school children from across the region, who have devised their favourite cake recipe. The entries will be judged by professional chefs from the Academy of Culinary Arts and the winning cakes will be sold at the Festival, with all the profits from the sales going to the winning schools.

For ticket bookings please call 0845 600 5445. Tickets are priced at £4.00 for adults on Friday and £5.00 for adults on Saturday and Sunday. Children under 16 are free on all three days.

Gates open from 9am – 5pm (Friday, Saturday & Sunday).

Car Parking is FREE with a network of tarmac roads for ease of access for the disabled.
