Has anyone read this story about the pope covering up a child sex scandal some decades ago for the 'universal good of the church'

and now the follow up of the popes right hand man putting it down to homosexuals.

Again I'm gonna sound naive here but do you think we'll ever get rid of the church?

Which Church ? (There's lots y'know)

I go with the church of my mind. I Know what's (morally) right & wrong just as you do and you know which BIG Guy you give praise to.

Don't need no corrupt church for that.

[edit]

Although the "Happy Clappy" church is pretty fun.

Yes, heard about it. If there is any truth in it, it is despicable and disgusting and he should be "sacked".

However my concern with many of these things is that we often end up in a situation where there is a trial by media, and sensationalist stories stir up major assumptions. It's what sells innit?

I really am hoping that this story is not true, because it would be devestating for yet another catholic scandal to come to light. I am getting quite sick of it, and quite sick of the lack of accountability for some people's actions.....
