year's spectacular Truckfest
held on 1-2 May 2011, at the East of
England Showground, Peterborough and is fast
approaching its 30th anniversary.
It is without doubt firmly established on the show calendar as not
just a trucking event, but also one of the most fabulous
weekends of family entertainment in the east of England.
With spectacular main arena entertainment and famous celebrities
visiting the show, Truckfest
guarantees to ensure that there is always something to see and
do for the whole family.
This year will be no exception. Main arena action will feature
everything from motorcycle stunt teams to free fall parachute
displays and the return of the most famous monster truck of all,
Bigfoot.
Visiting celebrities are once again promising to be some of the
most popular ever to visit the show. On Sunday the vivacious
Kara Tointon will be visiting the show; Kara is best known
for playing Dawn Swann in the BBC soap opera,
Eastenders and in 2010, she was the overwhelming winner in
the highly popular BBC TV series Strictly Come Dancing.
On Monday the show sees a visit by award winning actress Lacey
Turner, who is best known for portraying the role of
Stacey Slater in the BBC soap opera, ‘Eastenders’a role for
which she won an amazing 33 awards.

Trucker Alex Debogorski who will be flown over from Canada
to be at Truckfest on both days. The Ice Road Truckers series
started being screened on TV back in the year 2000, but it
became so popular, that in 2008 it became a regular series on
channel 5. Everything about ‘Ice Road Truckers’ is astonishing;
as viewers watch the drivers make their runs in the extreme cold
conditions, across the frozen lakes in Canada. Alex
Debogorski is now a legend in the ice road trucking
community and in 2011 sees alex, celebrating an amazing 30 years
as an ice road trucker.

by taking on world professional darts champion Martin Adams
better known as Wolfie – (for details see the
Truckfest website).

Radio Sally Boazman, better
known as Sally Traffic.
