Winter Talks Programme
A programme of winter talks are normally planned to take place on the second Monday of each month from November to March each year. They are held at St Marks Church Hall, Lincoln Road (opposite TOM LOCK) at 7.30 p.m.

Annual Meetings Programme

The Chairman welcomes members and guest to a presentation and discussion on:-
Revising Pevsner: a new look at Peterborough, Huntingdonshire and Bedfordshire
Speaker - Charles O'Brien.
Charles is joint editor of Pevsner Buildings of England series
Charles is beginning the task of revising Pevsner's original 1968 volume on the buildings of Bedfordshire, Huntingdonshire and Peterborough. He will talk to us on the history and evolution of Pevsner's great survey, and the on going work of the revision and updating of Pevsner's work.
Tea and coffee will be provided
The 56th Annual General Meeting - Date and location to be finalised.
Subject(s): Committee members report and answer questions on the previous year's society business. The Formal presentation of the Society Annual Report and Accounts.
Following the formal business of the AGM, we will have a speaker - details to be announced.
Summer Visits Programme
Our summer visits this year are:-
Peterborough Power Station, Monday 19th May 2008 - booking required.
Members and friends are invited to tour Peterborough Power Station. Places must be booked in advance through Grace on 01733 263127 before end of April. Meet at Peterborough Power Station at 6.15pm for 6.30pm tour start.
Vine House Farm (Walk Ride Barbecue) Wednesday 11th June 2008 - booking required. Members and friends are invited to visit Vine House Farm, A16, Deeping St Nicholas. There will be a walk (or ride on a trailer) round the farm which is a model of wildlife conservation and a haven for threatened species. The walk will conclude with a barbeque and glass of English white wine. Cost is £8.00 per head and places need to be reserved by end of May by booking through Grace on 01733 263127. Meet at the Farm at 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start. Directions to the farm available from Grace.
Kings Cliffe Heritage Trail, Monday 14th July 2008 - booking required. Members and friends are invited to visit Kings Cliffe Heritage Trail for a guided tour of King's Cliffe. There are only 25 spaces so booking will be on a first come first serve basis. A donation of £50.00 has been promised to the King's Cliffe Heritage fund so voluntary contributions towards this from those attending would be appreciated. Committee meetings are normally arranged on the first Monday of each month throughout the year, except January and May which are on the second Monday.
