Seminar reveals Flash Magic behind web design technology

Latest developments in the fast-moving technologies behind the creation of exciting world wide web sites will be unveiled at a special Flash Magic seminar in Peterborough on 4 May - just weeks after they are revealed in San Francisco.

Computer training specialist Fiona Carter, who launched Top Score Computer Training last summer, will reveal up-to-the-minute intelligence gathered at the world's premier conference for users of Macromedia Flash Player - a leading website design program which incorporates sound, animation and interactive facilities.

"The technologies behind website development are moving so fast that the best way of staying on the leading edge is to be at the heart of the industry," said Fiona, who specialises in providing on-site tuition in Sage computer based accounts systems and website design programs.

"That's why I will be spending three days in San Francisco at Flashforward 2000 and the Flash Film Festival investigating all the latest developments in this exciting and versatile web software. Then I will bring all the important industry news back to Peterborough to demonstrate how people can attract more visitors to their websites."

Joining Fiona on the presentation panel will be specialist website designer Chris Raey from the Internet Studio in Lincoln, who is also attending Flashforward 2000. A full information pack including a CD of the presentation will be available for delegates.

Expertise in Macromedia Flash Player is a 'must have' skill among web designers at present. "At present there are only 14 authorised training centre in the UK and tuition fees run at around 250 per day," said Fiona. "Our Flash Magic seminar will demonstrate how the technology can be used to attract more website visitors."

"Some of the top websites belonging to leading companies in all industry sectors have adopted Flash Player to deliver compulsive viewing techniques to their target customers," said Fiona. "Internet surfers whose computers do not already have Flash Player pre-installed are able to download it without charge from Macromedia in just a few seconds."

  • The Flash Magic seminar will be held at Stuart House, City Road, Peterborough from 4pm until 8pm on Thursday 4 May. Tickets, including buffet, are 65 each. To book places and for more information telephone 01406 490229 or visit the Top Score website.
