Business Link for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Enterprise Programme
(PEP) are working together on an initiative to further boost the
strong enterprise culture in and around Peterborough.
Focussing on new start ups as well as
existing small businesses, the initiative provides:-
A free half day seminar for new
start ups designed to help them find their way through the maze of
tasks they need to do when setting up a business
A six day training programme
covering everything from selling and marketing to legal and
A free voucher scheme enabling
existing small businesses to access any Business Link branded
service using the vouchers as payment.
The initiative aims to recruit support
from other agencies such as Colleges, The Inland Revenue, Chamber of
Commerce and Local authorities as well as Accountants, Banks and
Solicitors. In this way small businesses can get access to a wide
range of professional advice from the outset with continued support
from Peterborough Enterprise Programme as they grow and prosper.
A local businessman, Peter Greenwell,
has been recruited to co-ordinate the new Enterprise Network. Peter
previously managed the adviser team at Business Link Greater
Peterborough and has extensive business experience prior to working
with Business Link. "This is an exciting idea which has the
potential to give start up and existing small businesses a solid
foundation to grow their business from" said Peter.
"Business Link for Cambridgeshire and PEP are very much there to
help and support local businesses and this initiative will bring
together a co-ordinated range of services to do just that!"
