Successful start-up for local business

Business | Press | News

After just six months of trading, Martin & Co, the property management and letting agency is already looking to increase its office staff.

The Peterborough Branch, launched by local businessman Des Dreckett last November is part of a national franchise and has recently been awarded Investor in People status along with the 68 other Martin & Co outlets.

The company is now set to boost its business to over 100 franchised outlets nationally, which will see their annual group turnover rise significantly above the current level of 23 million this year. Martin & Co have also embraced new technology throughout the organisation and are receiving in excess of 1.8 million hits a month to their very informative website at www.martinco.com

Not only does Martin & Co let and manage properties, it also has a thriving buy-to-let service which finds the ideal rental property, completes a full market appraisal and then markets the property so that by the time of completion, there should be a tenant ready waiting to move in.

Des said " We have been taking on new properties at a phenomenal rate each month and in some instances our Free Letting Service to landlords can be extremely useful.

Coupled with a long list of waiting tenants this impressive flow of business has created a need for an additional pair of hands in the office".

Martin & Co currently outsource some of their office functions and the recruitment campaign for this position will commence during July 2003.
