For help in making the right choice
about what to do when leaving school all full-time students aged
between 14 and 24 in Cambridgeshire are invited to two Choices careers
events locally, organised by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC)
Cambridgeshire in association with Connexions.
The events will be held at:
Moat House Hotel, Peterborough
on Sunday 16 March
The Guildhall, Cambridge, on
Sunday 23 March
Both events are free, no
pre-booking is needed and the doors will be open from 10 am to 4 pm
Full details on the two events have
been mailed to nearly 20,000 young people in Cambridgeshire who are
due to leave school this year or next. The events offer an opportunity
for young people and their parents to discuss post-16 options with
trained careers advisors in an informal setting, as well as meeting
trainees with first-hand experience.
Training experts from local and
national organisations will be on hand to discuss career opportunities
for a whole host of popular career paths including accountancy,
agriculture, business administration, childcare and education,
customer service, engineering, estate agency, hairdressing, health
care, hotel and catering, IT, leisure, printing, retail, road haulage
and distribution, travel and tourism.
