Right move for ICW

Business | Press | News

The end of October, Peterborough became the focal point of the country for the Institute of Clerks of Works (ICW).

Representatives from various regions of the UK and Ireland descended on the Institute's new Headquarters at Equinox Business Park, Lynchwood for its formal opening.

The Institute of Clerks of Works relocated to Peterborough from London in October 2001, initially occupying premises in Thorpe Road before purchasing their new offices in the Peterborough Business Park.

Institute President, Adrian Martin is a Peterborough resident, and is the Safety Officer at the All England Lawn Tennis Club, Wimbledon.

Chief Executive Don McGeorge, who lives in Werrington, said, "Our relocation has proven that national bodies such as our own no longer need to be located in the capital. The city has proven to be central and easily accessible to all of our many visitors, and the decision to move here was most definitely the right one."
