The end of October, Peterborough
became the focal point of the country for the Institute of Clerks of
Representatives from various regions
of the UK and Ireland descended on the Institute's new Headquarters at
Equinox Business Park, Lynchwood for its formal opening.
The Institute of Clerks of Works
relocated to Peterborough from London in October 2001, initially
occupying premises in Thorpe Road before purchasing their new offices
in the Peterborough Business Park.
Institute President, Adrian Martin is a Peterborough resident, and is
the Safety Officer at the All England Lawn Tennis Club,
Chief Executive Don McGeorge, who
lives in Werrington, said, "Our relocation has proven that
national bodies such as our own no longer need to be located in the
capital. The city has proven to be central and easily accessible to
all of our many visitors, and the decision to move here was most
definitely the right one."
