Developments include new statutory disciplinary and grievance
procedures which are to be implied into all contracts of employment,
enhanced rights to maternity leave/pay and requirements for employers
to consider requests for flexible working.
Greenwoods' comprehensive package of
support offers a practical and interactive seminar to provide
delegates with a practical understanding of the Act and its impact on
their business or organisation. As the Act relies heavily on
Regulations, many of which are unlikely to be available for some
months, delegates will also receive briefing notes on the Regulations
as they are published. These explain the impact of the Regulations and
outline action that needs to be taken. As a result delegates will have
a complete and detailed picture of the Act as it develops.
The seminars will be held on:
30 October 2002 at the Moat House
Hotel in Peterborough
6 November 2002 at the Midlands
Conference Centre, Leicester City Football Club, Leicester
20 November 2002 at the Hilton
Hotel in Northampton
The price of the training package is
£150 plus VAT per delegate.
Robert Dillarstone, Partner and Head
of the Employment and Employee Benefits Department commented:
"After holding many successful
seminars in Peterborough we've decided to take this event 'on the
road' to make it easier for our clients throughout the East Midlands
to attend, especially in the light of the importance of the changes
which this new piece of legislation will introduce."
