The recently published 2000 Edition of
'The Legal 500 - The Clients' Guide to UK Law Firms' confirms that
Greenwoods Solicitors is going from "strength to strength".
The publication regards Greenwoods "as Peterborough's premier law
firm" and reports "Greenwoods has "refused to rest on
its laurels and scored a number of highly significant East Anglia
client wins in 1999."
Greenwoods Managing Partner, Shelagh
Smith, is delighted to see the firm's progress recognised. "We
were delighted with our review in this year's Legal 500. It confirms
that our focused approach is taking us to where we want to be, a
regional player in both the East Anglia and East Midland
'The Legal 500 2000' also highlights the
skills and expertise of a number of Greenwoods' partners:
On corporate and commercial law 'The
Legal 500' says "In Peterborough, the potent combination of
Michael Evans, the best corporate lawyer in town, and Nigel Moore,
whose eagerness to get deals done and done well always impresses
clients, keeps Greenwoods ahead of the game by a significant margin.
Clients praise Greenwoods for its approachable and practical ethos.
"The Legal 500 reports that
"Robert Dillarstone, in addition to his technical skills, is
known as an affable and responsive lawyer." Robert heads
Greenwoods' Employment and Employee Benefits team.
Stephen Illingworth, head of
Greenwoods' Commercial Property team, is highlighted as "the
town's best known property lawyer".
Shelagh Smith is recommended for work
with the media and entertainment sector. The Legal 500 suggests that
Greenwoods is one of only two firms in the region that 'boast any real
expertise' of working within this sector.
Michael Taylor, head of housing law
services is reported as employing "his tremendous level of
housing law expertise acting for numerous housing associations."
Martin Wood, head of the construction
team, 'The Legal 500' reports, is "rated by clients as both
technically excellent and a strong contact partner for the firm."
Shelagh Smith said: "The expertise
of our legal teams is a key factor in our success and we are delighted
that so many of our teams were recognised. We provide our clients with
a premium service and it is extremely rewarding to see that our high
level of service has been recognised by independent analysis."
Greenwoods has appointed ten new lawyers
over the last three months and recruitment for further lawyers is
underway. Greenwoods really is, as the Legal 500 suggests, going from
"Strength to Strength".
