For the past three years the forum has been chaired by Tony Barker of
Barker Storey Matthews.
The guest speaker at the most recent
forum meeting was Dr John Bridge, the man responsible for steering
Peterborough's bid to secure an Urban Regeneration Company to deliver
city centre development. Mr Williams took office at the end of the
meeting and told members:
Under the excellent stewardship of
Tony Barker, the GPIA property forum has engaged with major issues
affecting the city's development – issues such as flood protection in
Eastern Industry and the city centre master plan.
"Now we would like to see the forum
bring in a wider membership, particularly from the many companies
involved in both residential and commercial development in
