Moving experience for relocation agency team

Having helped many companies relocate to new premises, the Greater Peterborough Investment Agency achieved a trouble-free removal of its own when it transferred from Stuart House in the city centre to the Minerva Business Park at Lynch Wood, Peterborough.

"By employing all the accumulated experience from helping other organisations relocate, we succeeded in accomplishing our move with the minimum of disruption," said agency chief executive Gloria Milne. "Although we now occupy a smaller floor area than previously, we have been able to save space by entrusting a large part of our photo library to Peterborough Central Library."

The agency originally moved to Stuart House in 1993 under an initiative to locate all the economic development organisations in one building. However, national changes resulting in the re-structuring of post-16 skills training and small business support organisations meant that it was no longer practical for the agency to remain at Stuart House.

The Greater Peterborough Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Peterborough Enterprise Programme have also moved from Stuart House to Minerva Business Park and the offices provide 'hot-desking' facilities for Cambridgeshire Business Services (CBS) advisers."
