New suite launched at Showground

Business | Press | News

The East of England Showground has announced the opening of the Cambridge Suite - a 3/4 million pound investment and the first development on the 250 acre site for some 14 years.

Adding an additional 560m2 to the Showground's existing facilities, the Cambridge Suite can cater for conferences for up to 550 delegates and 450 for dinners.

Linked to the Peterborough Suite to form a multifunctional complex and coupled with a further two recently refurbished suites, the East of England Showground provides varying indoor space of up to 7,700m2. All Suites are on the ground level with full disabled access and car parking directly outside.

Alan Webb, General Manager for Hospitality and Catering said 'Peterborough has been in great need of larger capacity facilities for some time. The new Suite will be a great asset to the Showground and we hope to attract many large-scale indoor events to what is now the largest and most versatile venue of its kind in the area'.

The East of England Showground is ideally located just off the A1, Peterborough making it easily accessible from all major routes, including public transport; the Showground is just 50 minutes from London Kings Cross. Hotel accommodation is available nearby with preferential rates negotiated for Showground users.

The Cambridge Suite, although not to be officially opened until January 2005, is available for bookings, including Christmas Parties.
