Peterborough takes environmental message to Europe

Business | Press | News

Peterborough, one of the UK's four Environment Cities, will be encouraging more environment related companies to move to the city at an exhibition in France later this month.

Encluster the grouping of environmental businesses already established in the city is taking a stand at Pollutec, the international environmental exhibition being held in Lyon, France, from 26 to 29 November.

In addition to Encluster itself the stand will showcase local environment sector companies and the benefits of Peterborough as a business location.

Financial support for the Encluster presence at the show has been provided by English Partnerships, the UK government's national regeneration agency.

Pollutec is Europe's largest tradeshow for the environmental goods and services industry. It is expected to attract more than 60,000 visitors from around the world to see what the 2,000 exhibitors have to offer.

Florence Kosmala of Encluster said: "We are aiming to attract new investors who could bring business and jobs into Peterborough.

"We also plan to learn about potential business ventures in France and other European countries which might offer opportunities for Peterborough environment companies and to check out what our competitors from other European cities are doing."

Encluster has already arranged a series of meetings with potential visitors and trading partners at which it will be promoting the benefits of the area and of specific Encluster companies.
