The City Ruling Company, one of the oldest printing companies in
Peterborough, has invested £100,000 in new equipment and staff to
broaden the range of services it provides customers.
The company has purchased a new Ryobi
printing press which enables it to produce more complex work and
achieve more visually enhanced print finishes.
The press can print in four colours as
well as applying UV and conventional varnishes to materials. It
operates at double the capacity of existing presses at City Ruling.
The press also saves time in the
preparation of jobs. It has electronic registration and automatically
compensates for variations in ambient temperature which can affect the
ink and hence the quality of the printed work.
City Ruling has also recruited a new
print operator to help with its increased workload. All of the company’s
print operators were given a special four-day training course to learn
how to achieve the most from the new press.
John Scotney, customer services
manager at City Ruling, said: “The new printing press will really
help us to improve the range of services we offer our customers. We
are now able to print larger, more complex jobs at an even faster
rate. Our customer base is rapidly expanding and this will help us to
service them even better.”
The City Ruling Company is part of the
Mailtech (UK) Limited group of companies, also based in Peterborough.
