Company receives recognition for skills & professionalism

Peterborough-based printing firm, The City Ruling Company, has achieved national recognition for its high professional standards and quality work by being accepted into the Skills Register.

The Skills Register, which is due to make a substantial impact on how we select suppliers in the future, is an online resource where consumers can find local, experienced and properly qualified businesses, committed to the highest standards, who have been thoroughly vetted and are continually monitored.

The Skills Register, accessible over the internet at www.skills-register.com, seeks to implement recommendations from within the Government’s Consumer White Paper of 1999 in an effort to combat rogue trading and to assist those who are properly qualified, to promote their services. It was developed with advice sought from the DTI and also from Trading Standards Officers, who are active participants in its review committee.

The initiative to put City Ruling Company forward for inclusion in the Skills Register stems from its customer service manager, John Scotney, who was keen to achieve recognition for the company’s commitment to outstanding customer service and providing only the very best in printing services.

Mr Scotney says “If not the biggest, we certainly aim to be the best printer around for quality of service and best value for money - not to mention our ability to meet deadlines”.
