As part of the six-strong legal team James’ work spans a broad range
of commercial legal matters affecting the business including the
drafting and negotiation of a variety of contracts - such as new
joint business framework agreements for the company’s affinity
insurance specialist Junction and aggregator agreements for its
price comparison website comparethemarket.com - Group intellectual
property protection, litigation and external PR.
James said: “I am relishing my new
role. The ability to be actively involved and see the impact of the
work I do on the daily life of the business is extremely rewarding.
It is a very fast-paced business and there’s always something new to
challenge me to find focused, practical and efficient ways of
applying the law to meet the demands of the business.”
