Sharper Staff mean Sharper Profits: CIEH Training

Business | Press | News

Six years experience of working with business has shown that, to acquire a lasting positive image a company must make changes which are more than skin deep.

The key to achieving this lies with the most important asset that a company has, its staff and their abilities.

The Business and Environment Management Scheme (BEMS) is pleased to announce that, as a newly recognised training centre, it can now offer the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) Environmental Awareness Certificate. This enhances its existing raft of business support services offered on a not for profit basis.

The CIEH Environmental Awareness Certificate is a 6-hour training programme that aims to raise awareness of environmental issues, particularly in the workplace. It is suitable for staff at all levels.

Successful completion of the training programme will help staff to deal with legal issues and customer inquiries and questionnaires. In addition, it will enable them to better understand company environmental initiatives and cost saving exercises.

The programme covers a range of topics including:

  • Awareness of environmental issues

  • Measures to reduce the environmental effects of organisations

  • The benefits of environmental management

  • The principles and importance of environmental legislation.

The next Environmental Awareness course in Peterborough will take place on Friday, 12 November. For further information contact Simon Parker on 01733 760889 or [email protected]

For more information on in-house training or other opportunities offered by BEMS visit our website www.bems.co.uk or email [email protected]
