Local Peterborough residents can feel confident of receiving the best
consumer advice from Peterborough City Council's Trading Standards
department following a glowing report from the Governments Quality
The Quality Mark is a national scheme
set up by the Government and operated by the Legal Services Commission
as part of its drive to increase justice for the public.
The aim of the scheme is to allow
people to get information and help about their legal rights and how
they can enforce them more easily and ensure they feel confident about
the quality of service they receive.
Following a recent audit of
Peterborough's Trading Standards department, by the Legal Services
Commission, the service has been recognised as providing top quality
services and has been awarded a 'Preliminary Quality Mark' - the first
step towards achieving full accreditation.
Paula Crowson, Trading Standards
Officer at the City Council said, "We are very pleased to have
achieved the preliminary quality mark for our advice service. This
demonstrates our commitment to providing high quality advice and
value-for-money services to residents and businesses in Peterborough.
